I have worked here for 3 years now. No place is perfect but no employer has ever treated me as well as I have been treated here. Always appreciated here, and my worst day is still never as bad as at other places!

The hours are inconsistent here. Good weeks and bad weeks. The equipment is excellent but they now have driver cams. I enjoyed the people I met there. The hardest part is the schedule

The owners don't want to hear about customer complaints about service. I wish they would listen. Promises not kept by management. They lure you in and never follow thru with promises

Unprofessional all the way across. Miles are extremely inconsistent, communication is AWFUL. Some of the trucks and trailers are 2 years out of date on inspections. Maintenance is not a priority, your license will always be at risk! If you’re not benefiting them or doing half of their job for them they do not care about you. When on call they almost always forget to take the computer with them or answer all your questions with “IDK”. After 5pm M-F or on weekends if you need anything GOOD LUCK… you will be on your own!

Would be good place to work if they had better management and dispatchers. Dispatchers are very self oriented. Only give out good paying routes to family and favored drivers. Good trucks kept in fairly good condition and maintenance. Not a family atmosphere or driver needs outfit Mostly do or die attitudes towards divers. Good for a beginner trucker to get feet wet

Work-life balance Work-life balance at EXCEL TRUCKING is not going to happen Pay & benefits My pay and benefits at EXCEL TRUCKING are lies compared to what they said and what they actually do Job security and advancement In terms of job security at EXCEL TRUCKING, you are replaceable Management In general, managers at EXCEL TRUCKING dont care about safety or you Culture Collaboration with my colleagues at EXCEL TRUCKING is ok

I drove for them for almost 4 years, when i signed on there was an employee handbook that i signed that told me when i left if there were any damages to the equipment i would be responsible for I may not see my last paper paycheck to cover the expenses owed to the company. i had a partial payment left and got my check just short because of that amount. I never felt pressure to just get it there or go out of my comfort zone. this is on time customer delivery base, there is not a lot of room for rescheduling delivery appts, so that needs to be taken into considerations as well. I was happy there and treated well, i only left because i chose to run team with another company. I was there thru multiple DOT audits and met with the officer as well. there were not any concerns raised at that time as well. It is transportation and does not make everyone happy, but they have a high rate of drivers returning when they have left for the greener side of the fence.

Says they will Get you home by certain date. And when you ask to be certain they reassure you. When that date rolls around you might be able to pull in the driveway after what ever you was needing to be home for is already over. Expects you to drive a full 11 hours a day and do resets at a truck stop somewhere during the week

Driving truck is not easy nor is it an appreciated job. However, working at Excel Trucking has been a lot better than the other companies I have worked for. Pay is there every Friday, I get the time off that I need, and nice trucks. Its trucking so not every thing is great, but they seem to make it better.

Very good place to work, they care about family and family time. They go above and beyond to care. The trucks are all newer and many of the loads are drop and hook. If you work hard and run the HOS correctly a driver can get miles.

Wrote on my daq I quit under dispatch when I denied the load. They screwed me out of a bunch of money and they need put out of business. This company is all about themselves. They pretend to care about the driver until it doesn't benefit them.

Excel is growing rapidly and constantly experiencing "growing pains" because of it. The Operations Manager is being worked in to the grave and drivers suffer. They could have a great future ahead of them, if they can get past the learning curve.
