READY TO EXPECT THE BEST? APPLY NOW

Pigeon Freight is a Chicago based company in Lansing IL and we are seeking qualified CDL A Drivers to run Over the Road. Family atmosphere large enough to keep you busy, but small enough to know you by name, not a truck number. Because at Pigeon, home time matters so much, we focus on creating dense freight lanes that help our drivers get home more frequently and predictably, allowing many Pigeon Freight drivers to have more home weekly options. It’s your goal to live comfortably to and through retirement. Put away a little each month and increase it over time. Your workplace may offer a plan to help.

Awesome place to work. First trucking that I’ve worked for that actually takes care of their drivers. I’ve been here for 3 years. This company is like family to me. Sam is like a father figure to me. He always looks out for your well being. Maintenance makes sure you’re taking care of on the road as well as off. Great people to work for!

When I first applied I didn't really know what to do next but Erin has been fantastic in helping to set me up for the first time. She showed me the ropes and took care of any questions I may have had. I wasn't left feeling unprepared but instead enthusiastic about starting. The equipment is quality as are the people working there. The work/life balance is up to you, they'll work with you if you have any issues at home or on the road. Overall a solid place to work.

Been working for them almost a year. No complaints about staff. I found a local job. I gave my two week notice, returned their truck. When I get my last settlement check. Pigeon charged me for travel and hotel expenses. Pigeon charged me all wear and tear on tires that were replaced. Basically any repairs done on truck the company put that expense on you when you resign and you will be left with no check!

I've been with pigeon freight now for 2 years. And I gotta say it's one of the best companies I've ever worked for., I get plenty of miles they pay me good. I get home whenever I need to the equipment is good. And the people here are 2 thumbs up, So if you've got a decent set of work ethics and want to make a good living call pigeon.

Run from this company! They did not give me my last check. Their equipment is garbage. They do not care about drivers at all. 0 stars is more appropriate. I worked for western Express and they make western look like a 5 star company!

I worked for Pigeon freight for about 2 years. The only reason I left was that I had personal family issues to deal with. If I was ever to go back to driving for a company, Pigeon freight would be my only choice. There fair honest company that takes care of ther drivers and there equipment.

Excellent company to work for. Was a little dis-heartened by bad people slamming Mr.Sam on here. However when I started he got me hotel, brand new ride, and a complimentary hat. All in all good company, good guy. 1.5 years in, no problems. 3000 watt inverter, galanz fridge with tiny freezer, 68mph max, no lane alert bs, 1099, cascadia's/internationals/kens, Apu's, 5 min idle off:)

After 9 months of service I was not treated as family. The miles were not consecutive. I stayed out 4-6 weeks and couldn’t get good miles. Inter-office communication is not good. They say Down-time /lay-over pay but only if the deem necessary. They say one set amount for escrow but will take more if they deem necessary. I have 40+ years driving and was treated like a newbie.

The orientation experience at Pigeon Freight was absolutely wonderful. You know your working for the right company when the owner walks in and shakes your hand welcoming you to the company. My recruiter went above and beyond and after 4 months still checks on me periodically to see if I need anything. The dispatcher assigned to me was very easy to work with. This is the best company I've ever worked for

It's a pretty good company. The miles are there. No forced dispatch, you can get home when you like, brand new trucks, just an all around good company. This was actually the best OTR company. Had to leave for health reasons

Good company to work for. No forced dispatch, good miles. And good people, only thing is they hold $1500 for escrow but they will give it back after 3 months and don't mess up the truck. Which was brand new

It pays great but staff is horrible and no one can speak good English. When you call the company for simple needs you get the run around cause no one acts like they can help you.

100% Brokered Frieght, most of which is 1500 miles plus hot loads. Half the loads I ran there were coast to coast. If you are a Road Warrior, you can make some serious money. Primarily left for health insurance.

Everyone seems to be comfortable in this company, good miles, they dont lie... I'd rather not having to leave the escrow but everything is ok with the refunds, no discounts and this is not like other companies
